Our ideal candidate

  • Has at least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Has experience with SQL and Python.
  • Understands what ETL/ELT is and how it works in production.
  • Has an understanding of data processing architecture, including the principles of Spark, as well as the differences between Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
  • Understands streaming technologies (Event Hubs, Kafka, or similar).
  • Has worked with cloud storage.
  • Skilled in working with Delta Lake/Lakehouse architecture.
  • Knows the basics of data architecture and understands why pipelines need to be tested.
  • Knows the principles of CI/CD for analytical solutions.
  • Ability to work with authentication and access management (OAuth, SAS tokens, service accounts).
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, high responsibility, and ability to quickly adapt to new tools.
  • Loves games or wants to dive headfirst into game development.

Primary responsibilities

  • Create and maintain data pipelines for gaming projects.
  • Integrate data from various sources: game servers, internal tools, analytics.
  • Work with data architecture: storage, transformation, quality.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes.
  • Ensure data continuity between environments (dev/prod), including schema and access management.
  • Automate pipeline deployment and update processes.
  • Monitor data quality and stream stability in real time (LiveOps, game events).
  • Support analytical requests from the team: product, marketing, UA.
  • Implement best practices in working with data.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Game Designers, and the Marketing Team.
  • Work with BI tools (Power BI, Fabric).

Be a plus

  • Experience with BI tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms (Power BI, Synapse, Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience with game data (game events, LiveOps).
  • Knowledge of Spark not only in theory but also in practice (for transformations in Fabric or Databricks).
  • Understanding of Data Governance (ownership, lineage, security).
  • English proficiency not lower than Upper-Intermediate.
