Junior Managerial Accounting Specialist
Hello! 👋
QS Games is a Ukrainian product-based gamedev company that develops its own games and is moving toward a European publishing ecosystem. We create web and mobile projects in casual genres (farm / city-building) and are gradually expanding into publishing. Our projects have already attracted hundreds of thousands of players. The QS Games team consists of 170+ specialists working on product development and scaling.
Currently, we are looking for a Junior Managerial Accounting Specialist to help us build a transparent, flexible, and automated financial management system. We are looking for someone who can see real business processes behind the numbers, strives for automation, and is ready to become a reliable financial partner for our product teams.
Our ideal candidate
-
Possesses a fundamental understanding of managerial accounting, views finance as an integrated system, and can apply international standards to build effective and transparent corporate financial management.
-
Has hands-on experience with accounting systems (both modern and not-so-modern 😉) and a clear grasp of their core operating principles.
-
Holds advanced data-handling skills, confidently uses advanced Excel features, and can build and “read” key financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, etc.) for practical business applications.
-
Identifies and builds efficient processes that simplify interactions with finance, ensure error-free managerial accounting, and clear the way for workflow automation.
-
Is skilled in working with source documents (invoices, bank statements, delivery notes, etc.), transforming them into valuable, structured data streams.
Primary responsibilities
-
Creating and managing financial data flows from primary documents and basic transactions to core financial statements. This includes key tasks such as identifying data sources, ensuring stable data recording in the system, creating journal entries, and the initial processing of financial information.
-
Managing accounting rules and key reference directories of analytical dimensions (sub-accounts), including partners, projects, teams, and other accounting and structural units.
-
Reviewing the existing accounting policy and aligning it with IFRS standards. Ensuring the relevance, accuracy, comparability, and timeliness of financial data.
-
Building processes that ensure the effective, practical application of the accounting policy. Working with stakeholders and the technical team to implement these processes and support them with automation, an appropriately configured ERP system, and BI reporting.
-
Analyzing financial statements and advising stakeholders on financial decisions, supporting teams as a partner from the finance team during planning periods.
